Day1 - 18/08/2012

3:27 am: Woke up 3 minutes before the alarm rings, switched it off J. 

This always happens when there is an important day ahead. This time I had to drive 4 innocent lives in my Grey lightening to Wayanad which is 270kms approx and I had driven only 180 km max per day and 90 KMS in a stretch. Now had to drive 3 times the previous record!!!

4:30 am: Started my journey from my house to college. Mutterless $ht loading from previous trip dump. 1% complete :P

4:57am: Reached college with Karthik , Manisha  and Manjunath

5:45am: Rakesh aka dummy, Kulla and Jagga  was the last to reach as usual and we left for wayanad

6:00 am: Mutterless $ht loading 50% complete :P

7:00 am: Reached kamat upchar just after channapatna. Had breakfast and we continued on our journey.  Mutterless $ht 100% complete

10:00 am: After taking the deviation before the Mysore city, we found a nice stretch of road, where we accelerated like hell reached 120KMPH and the scene of overtaking Karthik’s alto was priceless. Vroom 60 – 120 in less than 10 sec and Karthik was left 100mts behind J

10:30 am: Reached the Gundlupet and stopped for some coffee and chips.

11:00am : Entered the Bandipur Highway. Spotted some deers and the drive was awesome.

1:00pm : Entered the Main City of Sultan Batherty and started to search for hotels. While Raki, Ash, Manja, Jagga went in search of a hotel to stay, I slept in the car for 10 -15 mins. Then we checked into Hotel Prince and had our lunch there.

3:00pm: We then left for Edakal caves, which was 15kms from our place.

4:20pm: We reached the edakal caves, but unfortunate to find out that the caves  was closed for the day. We then left for karapuzha dam.

5:00pm: The dam was amazing, with all 3 flood gates opened. We spent some time there, clicking photos.

6:30pm: We left back to our place with loads of pics. J

8:15pm: Had our dinner at Hotel Udupi.

9:30pm: Everyone went to sleep early, so that we can get up early the next day and cover more places.

DAY 2 - 19/08/2012

7:00am Woke up early, went about the other two rooms and woke others up.

8:00am: The sad part of the trip was, We had to drop kiran to the bus stop as he had to travel to his grandmother’s funeral at davangere.

8:30am: Finished bathing and went to Hotel Udupi for Breakfast.

9:00am:  We then left for edakal caves.

10:30am: Climbed to the ticket counter and bought tickets for entering the edakal caves. Since the path was very narrow and steep, we had to leave archana in the mid way. So we divided into two groups of 4 each. While the first group Avinash, Manisha, Karthik and rakesh (God, why should it be these 3 pple??????)  went into the caves second group Ashwin, Deepika, Jagdish, Manja stayed with archana.

11:30am: Entered the caves with a lot of pushing and climbing as there were many people. Finall went into the caves, looked at the magnificent paintings and came down.

12:30pm: We got down with archana and let the second team go to the caves. The next 1 to 1.5 hours was the unthinkable time of my life. The torture, the pain, which I used to give to others with my mutterless $ht talk was given back to me by the 3 enemies. :P  Danger! mutterless $ht buffer overflow, restarting system

2:00pm: Finally the second team came down and we went to a fruit shop and decided to finish our lunch there.

3:30pm: We reached mutunga wild life sanctuary and decoded to go for safari. Had to wait in the queue till 4:05pm to get tickets.

4:15pm: Entered the forest in forest in 2 jeeps. It was a humpty dumpty ride till the end, saw some deers, peacocks, green flora, a lone Elephant at some distance and a magnificent eagle.

5:15pm: Finished our safari and drove ourselves back to Bangalore.

5:35pm: Spotted some herd of elephants beside the highway road, almost got by car attacked by a wild angry elephant.

5:43pm: Spotted on more lone bull, which was grazing royally. This time stopped at a distance took some photos and drove back to Bangalore.

6:10pm: Took some photos beside a flower field.

8:15pm: Got a tiny scratch on my side view mirror, thanks to MS for taking us in some narrow roads in Mysore.

8:45pm: Stopped at a Dabha for dinner, ate nice chicken and drove back to Bangalore.

12:00am: Reached Bangalore, dropped Deepika at her home and manja near college. Manja, MS and manisha went home in alto. We then found that Raki owner had locked the house and given it to his neighbors’ house. Unfortunately no one opened the door so dropped jagga at one of his friends place in srinivas nagar and head back home with raki.

1:30am: Reached home and slept tightly. J

Karthik's Car Back (3##ka)

"From Morning i saw only Karthik's Car's Back" This is what i said in frustration after following Karthik's car for almost the entire journey, while going to sleep :P

Night of horror

After a long day of driving/travelling we decided to sleep early 9:30pm. Till 1 am next morning I was not able to sleep, as our room was located just beside the Highway. To my left was Karthik, who used to mutter gibberish in his sleep continuously and other side was rakesh snoring at 100dB J

Karthik’s alarm

People would use the alarm in the phone to wake themselves up at the required time, but seriously karthik using alarm to time his bowel moment, unbelievable!!!

Hot water/ dumbness of dummy revealed: P

Rakesh who has passed BE with distinction fell for ashwin’s hot water trick. We got hot water in buckets and used them to take bath. Ashwin had got less water so asked Rakesh that he’ll take some from his bucket. Rakesh happiely gave his bucket. Ashwin took all of rakesh’s hot water filled rakesh’s bucket with cold water and gave. Rakesh blindly, almost took it to the bathroom without realizing what was in it, until Karthik doubted and asked rakesh to check the temp of the water. J

Bad luck

The entire Day2 was a bad luck for me as I saw Karthiks face first when I woke up in the morning ..!..  J

Amazing 5 prediction

Like always I amused everyone with my card tricks. But was disappointedL when Manisha and deepika turned me down before I could present my trick to them.. J

Not Giving Haat

Scene1:  A small kid was finding it difficult to get down the rocks in Edakal caves. I offered my hand to help him out, but he declined my help by saying “Nahi uncle, I’ll get down myself, Thanks “. Don’t know what my enemies found fun in this, as they kept teasing about this incident all through the trip.

Scene2: When Archana was getting down the road, I asked her shall I help you by holding hands, but again even she declined it for no reason and I was very disappointed :(

Mobile

Two guys were trying to click photos of themselves. The put their mobile in my direction and were trying to get their pic. I thought they were asking me to click their photo and tried to take their mobile. But then realized they were clicking themselves. That guy was drunk and kept on saying sorry whenever he saw me.

When @ receiving end

Enemy 1, Enemy 2, Enemy 3 and dummy unleashed all their $ht talents which they learnt from me during these years and attacked me from all possible directions and made me sit silently in a corner for 1-2 hours.  I had never experienced this before as I was always in the other end.

How Nandini felt

These were the words used by my enemy targets to black mile me and make me feel regret for what I had done to Nandini. What I had done to nandini? I just used to ask her some dumb questions and make her fall into the pit by twisting the questions. When I did this everyone including her used to laugh. But my enemy targets made use of this situation and targeted me emotionally by saying “Nandu felt bad that I made her look dumb and I alone was responsible for that”. Obviously people look dumb when they try to answer my dumb questions.

Luck

Finally I was very lucky to spot an eagle amidst thick jungle.

Elephant Charge:

When travelling back from wayanad to Bangalore along the bandiput national forest stretch we were lucky to find a herd of elephants just beside the road. Jagga, Deepika, Rakesh, MAnja and me were all amazed to see then at such a close range. With all excitement I was braking my car in 2^nd gear and reaching for my camera. Within a fraction of a second the elephant gave a mock charge direct in the line of sight of my car and I was not able to accelerate as I had stopped in second gear. Luckily it was a mock charge and stopped right at the roadway. Distance of half a road(couple of meter) from my car. Then we fled from there with everyone shivering. If it had continued my car would have been smashed and toppled like a cardboard box.

More Elephants

We sighted some more elephants on our way silently grazing. This time we stopped at some distance and kept my car in first gear J and took some more photos.

Wriggling Cockroach

“Wriggling like a upside down cockroach after being hit by a broom stick” These were the sentences used by Enemy 1 to describe my situation at the end of the day. After getting jacked/battered by not only our enemies, but even from my allies :P

Can 7+1 fit in a ALTO??
This was the question asked by me, while getting constantly battered :P.  I wanted to get myself out of there by driving my car home alone. J
